Western Branch football players getting interest

 

Western Branch assistant football coach Jarome Bell updated some of the Bruin players who are being recruited.

The four who are getting the most interest are cornerback Daiquan Lawrence, lineman Thomas Coleman, wide receiver Tyrique “TJ” Boothe and linebacker/running back Terence Ricks who Bell refers to as the “Western Branch Fantastic Four.”

Lawrence, 6-0 and 180 pounds, picked up offer from Wake Forest to go along with his offer from Hampton. He also is getting interest from many others school including Virginia Tech, Maryland, Michigan State, Old Dominion University and Duke.

Coleman, 6-5 and 280, has offers from Toledo, Indiana and Hampton. He is getting interest from several schools, including Virginia Tech, Duke, Michigan State and Howard.

Boothe, 6-0 and 175 pounds, has an offer from Hampton but also getting interest from Virginia Tech, Michigan State, Old Dominion and Charlotte.

And Ricks, 6-1 and 195, is getting interest from Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Maryland and Michigan State.

Bell said there are several other players to watch including lineman Cody Stuehm, running back Eugene Summerville and fullback Ronnie Gardner. All are getting interest from Hampton and Holy Cross. Stuehm also is getting interest from several Ivy League schools such as Princeton, Yale and Columbia.
